Pertumbuhan Aset Wakaf dan Dilema Produktifitas

Abstraksi
Indonesia menyimpan potensi wakaf yang besar, tetapi potensi itu belum dikelola dan dimanfaatkan secara optimal. Pemerintah, melalui Kementerian Agama, juga telah mendorong produktifitas tanah wakaf dengan memberikan bantuan wakaf produktif. Hal ini berdampak pada pertumbuhan pendapatan hasil pengelolaan aset wakaf. Tetapi, jika dibandingkan dengan besarnya aset wakaf, pertumbuhan pendapatan tersebut masih terbilang kecil. Ini bisa terjadi karena sebagian besar tanah wakaf di Indonesia, peruntukannya adalah tempat ibadah. Di samping itu, temuan lain juga menunjukkan, para nazhir ternyata tidak terfokus dalam mengelola aset wakaf, mereka jadikan sebagai pekerjaan sambilan dan tidak diberi upah.
Abstract
Indonesia holds large potential of waqf, but the potential has not been optimally managed and utilized. The Government, through the Ministry of Religious Affairs, has encourage productivity of land waqf by providing productive waqf. This give impact to the growth of waqf asset management results. However, when it compares to the magnitude of waqf assets, the revenue growth is still relatively small. This can be happen because most of waqf is landwaqf in Indonesia, the designation is a place of worship. In the other hands, another findings show, the Nazhir was not focused in managing waqf assets, they make as a sideline and not be rewarded.
